10 ways to re-use your bridal lehenga or saree

Every woman faces the same dilemma after having spent a mini fortune on her wedding lehenga. What to do with it now, after the wedding? Well there are several ways to reuse your heavy bridal lehnga or saree. We are putting together some options for you to choose from. Check them out

  • Light / Plain blouse: Team up your heavy lehnga with a plain colored simple choli and a light dupatta with some trimmings or a border. You can easily use this with light jewelry for a close friend’s wedding.

  • A layer of shaded or twin color net on top of your heavy lehenga will tone it down a bit. You could then wear a printed or a stylish choli with it and pair it with the same dupatta.

  • Wear your lehnga with a plain satin shirt top with some heavy neckpiece. Team it with your kundan set and rock the look by keeping the rest of the jewelry light.

  • Wear the same lehnga with a long kurta that’ll practically hide half of it. Pair it with a net or tulle dupatta, a mang tikka and a pair of earrings.

  • Using the same choli with a plain skirt style lehnga is yet another option. Wear some funky footwear and keep the make-up subtle.

  • Use the choli as a blouse for a new saree! It couldn’t get simpler than this!

  • You could easily repurpose your choli as a yolk for a kameez

  • If you are open to altering your wedding lehnga you can cut it up and either reduce the volume of it or even cut it up and infuse some plain pieces of fabric into it as kalis
  • Repurpose your wedding saree and make it into a skirt lehnga and mix and match a different color blouse with it.

  • Turn it into a salwar kameez.
