Skirts has been a staple wedding attire for most Indian weddings while they’ve started to make a noticeable entry in South Indian weddings only recently. The trend has moved away from the classic skirt and has taken a more contemporary and bright turn. They’re cute and the flow smoothly. Skirts do make every Indian women look all elegant. They’re the right mix of solid and sassy.

  1. Classic with a twist!

Traditional skirts which come as a part of lehenga are a part of all weddings. They’re similar to the half-sari as we call it in the south, the only difference being the way that they’re tied. There are always quirks that can be added to up or down the look. Here’s some inspiration! Just hold that dupatta with some swag or how about teaming your lehenga with a cape or a jacket, clearly it’s a nice twist to the usual.

3. Pants are so old school

Skirts are definitely more elegant compared to pants, chudidars and salwars. They give a pretty edge to the outfit making it look classier. Pair them with a kurta and you’ll be done. We love how gorgeous Kareena Kapoor Khan looks in the simple kurta teamed with an ethereal skirt and dupatta. A royal look, indeed.
