Inspired by the Mughals and Nawabs, this floor sweeping outfit, shararas, is making a comeback in the fashion scene. Fitted till the knee and then opening up in a trumpet skirt, a sharara is usually teamed with a knee length kurti or a choli and a dupatta. It is commonly worn by Pakistani brides and is fast becoming an option for the Indian brides as well, alongside lehengas and ghagharas. Here are some of the celebrity inspired shararas for you.
Malaika attended a day wedding dressed in this off white sharara, creatively mixing the creations of two designers. The kurta was designed by Ashley Rebello, the dupatta was designer by Seema Khan.
