The India Couture Week hosted by FDCI in association with Vogue is over, but clearly, we still aren’t over it. ICW 2017 was a star-studded affair with all the who’s who of fashion showcasing their work celebrating the cultural diversity of India. The designs were varied, versatile and left us dreamy.
Here are some of our favorites from ICW 2017.
The light and bright yellow lehenga designed by Rahul Mishra is fully hand-embroided. It is the part of his haft-rangi (7 colored) collection called Parizaad. This breezy lehenga could add the right pop at your Sangeet.
We just couldn’t pick one from Anita Dongre’s line. They were an ode to Bishnoi tribe who are the original tree huggers. The line represented luxury and style. While we love the deep coloured lehenga’s not to miss, the pockets; the right balance of tradition meets modern is achieved. We equally love the classy emerald lehenga that’s making a style statement.
Alia was the show stopper for Manish Malhotra’s show. She looked like a sassy modern bride sporting intricate yet subtle handwork. She gives us lehenga goals.
This Manav Gangwani lehenga breaks all myths and we love it. Disha Pattani looks stunning in this black lehenga with minimal accessories rightly completing the whole look.
We did store the best for the last. This Varun Bahl lehenga inspired from the painter and artist, Alphonse Mucha of Art Noveau period is eclectic. The cuts and colours are classic. With floral being the king this season, this dress checks all boxes to be your perfect wedding attire.
Tell us about is your favourite piece from ICW 2017.We would love to hear from you.
